Questions Meme
It's been awhile! LET'S QUESTIONING
Currently playing Simon Keyes in Kyr, Tamaki Suoh in Blood Match, still pretty into Simon Blackquill and Ace Attorney in general. I will also answer questions for dropped/musebox characters assuming I still remember them well enough to answer!

Ren he's also growing fond of. He thinks of Ren as kind-hearted and misguidedly loyal, for all the good and bad that comes with those things, and has decided to go ahead and start humoring him. He's grooming him a bit, too, though not with such concrete plans in mind. But he's also genuine in his desire to help, though his version of "help" is "figure out a way you can live without Yato, then kill him." I mean, clearly that's the most rational thing to do.
Kiiro he doesn't dislike in any specific way, but doesn't trust and is overall wary of.
Shoelace gets under his skin, so he started being as openly abrasive as possible to try to get him to back off. Of course, this has only backfired as Shoelace's concern for him ended up growing. Currently his feelings for Shoelace are a jumbled mess; he enjoys him as a chew toy, but resents him for getting too close and can't stop viewing him as a threat.
Midori he likes; he generally finds her intelligent and sensible. He doesn't particularly care what gender she is either way, but bonus points for letting him tease Shoelace.
New Guy... does he have a name yet? If he does Kong doesn't know it. No strong opinion yet! Kinda disappointed he can't do his hair though. (He was very wise not to agree to that.)
King is his megabro and partner in crime. And out of everyone in the team, the one he trusts most, honestly.
OK NOW U

He makes a point of picking up things he'd like to give to her too because HE'S STILL FIGURING OUT how positive relationships work that aren't Hiyori. Like when Hiyori gave him a stuffed animal, he immediately thought OH I BET TORA WOULD LIKE THIS and if Hiyori hadn't been the one to give it to him, he'd give it to Tora.
Kong is a close runner-up! He's seriously come to rely on him as an Adult and takes all of the advice that he gives to heart. He trusts him! Way more than standard trust he affords his teammates on the basis of being teammies, which really just makes him want to be open and honest with him about stuff as well as getting Kong to return the favour. His past is kind of shady, but Ren pretty much thinks he has it figured out in the sense of "his life was ruined and he was just taking it back" because that kind of thing resonates within him strongly! Kong is still alive and he should have the chance to live his life without being miserable and angry, so Ren can't really condemn him for anything. MAYBE MURDER WASN'T THE BEST ROUTE though, but it's Kong so it was probably some kind of last resort?? Either way, it isn't his business and it doesn't really contort his mental image of him much. He loves him! Kong is like the big brother he never had!
He kind of feels like he's letting him down every time he tries to make things better with his relationship with Yato. HE'S PUT A LOT OF DOUBT THERE because MAYBE THIS ISN'T WORTH IT and tbh the only reason he keeps trying anything is because Yato showed him the memory where he'd decided how he'd handle it. Something must have been worthwhile in Yato that he'd pick him over someone else, right?? . . .Right?? Also the new kid's intro, Kong both welcomed him back and Suzume told him that Kong said he ought to name him so he's FULL OF GROSS FEELINGS. This kid is so easy to win over, he'd fight anyone over Kong if he needed to.
Kiiro he likes! He feels a kinship with him over who they are and Kiiro is very easy for him to get along with. Kiiro is also very friendly with him which can be weird because (??) but they're bros. He wants to understand him and his life better because he really does strike him as similiar in a lot of places. ALSO HE NAMED HIM SO HE BELONGS TO HIM since naming is important!
Shoelace happens to be another Adult, but he also strikes him as really gentle so he doesn't want to tell him a lot of stuff and generally tries to restrict himself around him! Shoelace needs to be protected from the realities of this world. Weh. But Shoelace is very quick to try and protect him or at least comfort him when things go awry and he respects that! Shoelace makes him feel loved, so he wants to return the favour.
Midori makes him feel weird. HE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE HE STANDS WITH HER, even though he has no idea about her gender and doesn't care either way unless she starts flashing him like EDEN. He can't tell if she just finds him annoying or likes him or tolerates him or what! He's also been fussy about her because REPLACED IO who was the first person to make him feel TEAM FEELINGS so hrnngn. Kind of a weird irrational grudge there. He's been making no effort with her atm because of it. He needs to get over his problem first.
Suzume is kind of gentle. He seems like he'll fit in! Not much to say on him yet.
King is perfect. What a great monkey. Sorry he doesn't have much personal belongings.
BEEN MEANING TO GET JAG'S WATCH BACK FROM HIM THOUGH.
Who are some canon-mates you'd like to see in Kyr in particular?

I want a Knightley most of all, because that would just be an awful mess of feelings that Kong is just not in any way equipped to deal with. He'd try to use him for strategic purposes but it would go too far and he'd be trapped all over again in this broken friendship he doesn't want.
Dogen would probably be tough for an apper because canon doesn't show much (or any...) of his history, but he'd be fantastic for Kong, as the one person he admires and basically almost trusts, to the extent that he's capable of trusting anyone. As a bonus, Dogen is genuinely sane (for a contract killer), so he could actually calm Kong down a little.
And finally Edgeworth, because for all that they're essentially opposed forces in canon, I think they could actually get along with certain memories taken out of the equation, and that would be really interesting to me. Because they're both smartypants chess nerds who like the color pink more than society would dictate that two grown men should.
Are there any domestic team shenanigans you think we should do? (Because I think we should do all of those.)

COMES FROM BEING USED TO PLAYING A CERTAIN TYPE, I GUESS.TO BE HONEST I AM REALLY SURPRISED WE DIDN'T HAVE AN EDGEWORTH since both Phoenix and Maya were here for a considerable amount of time and Maya is still here. He's like one of the most popular characters iirc. I DON'T KNOW. I remember talking about playing him like well over 5 years ago and he was everywhere!!
I HAVE A LIST!!
Is there anything you want to do with Kong in the future?

...Well, I mean he'll still be a ruthless criminal, since Dogen thinks of him as his "acolyte" and will likely either train to be an assassin or a smuggler. But like. Emotionally.
So for all that, I think he was better off in canon. Because in canon, he was done — he'd destroyed the people he needed to destroy and he suddenly had the one thing he'd been pining for since childhood: a home with someone who cared about him where he could be safe.
In Kyr, on the other hand, he's in constant danger from trauma games and he can't bring himself to trust anybody. Or even when he does grow to trust them (mainly Tora, though Ren and Shoelace are slowly starting to worm their way into this category), he doesn't trust that they won't just disappear. From his perspective, he can't count on anyone or anything, so he's constantly on edge, waiting for the next bad game or some memory that will turn Alectryon against him.
So no, no power of friendship for this guy. When he does friendship it's reluctant at best and he is constantly trying to emotionally brace himself for what he sees as inevitable ruin. Having memories of Dogen helps, but at this point it's not enough.
